Space Needle Update: It’s alive! Long story short: Connecting two battery packs to a 12-volt blower at the bottom of the Space Needle elevator (an acorn vending capsule in the tube in the center) raises the elevator, which, once it hits the top, completes the circuit connecting a rainbow LED (glowing through a length of white core light pipe) and a CR2032 battery.
